As part of our Community Climate Connectors project, we’re offering fully funded energy efficiency studies for community buildings.

This is your chance to get a professional assessment of your building’s energy use – and to find out how you can improve comfort, cut carbon emissions, and reduce energy costs.

What’s included?

These free studies will look at your building’s current energy performance and identify potential improvements – like better insulation, heating upgrades, or lighting changes – that could make a big difference to both the environment and your running costs.

Our aim is to support community spaces that are at the heart of local life, helping them to stay warm, welcoming, and affordable to run – especially as energy prices and climate challenges continue to cause an impact.

Why it matters:

Many community buildings were built long before energy efficiency was a priority. As a result, they can be difficult (and expensive) to heat and maintain. Small changes can often have a big impact – and knowing what to change is the first step.

Whether your building is used for social events, local groups, childcare, or services for older residents, improving its energy efficiency can benefit everyone who uses it. Plus, it’s a great way to show local climate leadership and make your community more sustainable.

A few things to note:

The funding covers the energy efficiency study only. It does not include the cost of installing any recommended improvements.
