In the financial year 19-20, MEA directly engaged and supported over 4,100 households in fuel poverty, of whom between 40-50% reported at least one health issue. That’s over 1,800 households struggling with both a cold home and a health issue. We drew down over £650,000 of new capital funding to support them and in the process will save householders more than £1.4m on energy bills over the lifetime of the measures. We partnered with nearly 150 organisations, including health, Local Authority, charity, community grou100ps, Housing Associations and installers to achieve this, running nearly 90 events, training 400 staff and supporting 573 households in their homes. A good year.
